My name is Amanda. I am a freelance writer and editor with over 10 years of editorial experience.
Born and raised in the woods of central Massachusetts, I have a love for quiet spaces with more grass than granite. Ironic, considering I moved to New Hampshire (a state known for its granite) after falling in love with its adventurous landscape.
I received bachelor’s degrees in journalism and communications from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a third major in English literature.
I received my master’s degree in early children’s literature from Antioch University in 2022.
I mostly focus my work on place-based education, community development, early childhood literacy, children's literature, outdoor recreation, environmentalism, social justice, and other impactful efforts. However, I have experience and interests that reach far beyond these topics.
